Hybrid multi-tasking machining with additive technology
The VC-500 AM Hybrid multi-tasking machine features 5-axis capability and additive technology. It combines multi-tasking with fiber laser technology, additive knowledge, and iSMART Factory manufacturing operations.
The VC-500 AM builds part features to near-net shape up to 10x faster than comparable systems without wasting material or losing time by subtracting large amounts of metal from solid material.
Featuring a modular grooving system with a single basic tool holder, the system can turn into different tool variants by changing the support blade and clamp. The program applies to the SA line with its HSA-U holder range. The SA range includes the standard HSA monoblock holder with the clamp on top.
Typically, Swiss-style lathes have smaller machining requirements and use bar sizes no larger than 1.25" diameter. For Arno’s SA Swiss-style program, insert widths start at 0.059" (1.5mm). Shank sizes ranging from 3/8" (8mm) up to 3/4" (20mm). The SA range includes through coolant tooling with sizes starting from 0.079" (2mm).

Electronic weld head, precisely controlled weld force
The Series 300 electronic weld head offers precisely controlled weld force for miniature parts welding. It enables up to 3 welds per second with programmable force and weld positions, precise force and position repeatability, and displacement monitoring.
A redesigned linear magnetic force actuator and a microprocessor-based electronic control provide the precision needed for miniature parts welding. Force can be different in each schedule.
By showing actual displacement (set-down) with 0.0001" (2.5µm) resolution the user to fine-tune the weld time, follow-up force, and weld energy relationships between the weld head and the external welding power supply. Built-in displacement monitoring can optimize the weld and isolate potential quality problems.
