Award-winning powder metal parts
The Grand Prize winner of the 2017 Powder Metallurgy (PM) Design Excellence Awards Competition, sponsored by the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF) in the Medical/Dental Category went to ARC Group Worldwide, Longmont, Colorado. The award was for a metal injection molded (MIM) surgical keel punch made for Paragon Medical. The part functions as a broach, removing bone during knee surgery. Winners were announced at the POWDERMET2017 International Conference on Powder Metallurgy & Particulate Materials.
Expanded lead-free initiative
