Big Beat Challenge open for applications

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is calling for researchers and innovators, globally, to apply for the charity’s Big Beat Challenge – a $39 million (£30 million) award to push teams of researchers to identify a key problem in any heart or circulatory disease and propose a transformational solution.

Teams can submit proposals that capture the essence of the idea and demonstrate how their proposal would not be possible without funding at this scale. An international panel will assess the outline applications and the best proposals will be short-listed, awarded seed funding, and given an additional six months to develop final proposals. Deadline for submitting outline applications is June 14, 2019.
