Manufacturing app platform developer, Tulip, raised $13 million to grow its product, design, and research teams, while expanding customer support capabilities. New Enterprise Associates (NEA) led the round with participation from Pitango Venture Capital and other returning angel investors.

Tulip developed the manufacturing app platform to bring Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and advanced analytics to front-line engineers and operators.

Global manufacturers use Tulip’s platform to create IIoT-enabled apps for a variety of cases including work instructions, automatic data collection, quality control audits, machine monitoring, and training.

DABRA shortens procedure time, lowers costs or blocked arteries

The FDA granted market clearance to Ra Medical Systems for the company’s destruction of arteriosclerotic blockages by laser radiation ablation system (DABRA). DABRA has a shorter procedure time and is less expensive than other arterial blockage treatments. The catheter can cross chronic total occlusions (CTOs) without having to cross the lesion with a wire. It also debulks and modifies arterial blockages.

“DABRA is what we have been waiting for to better treat our patients,” says Dr. Arthar Ansari, director of California Heart and Vascular Clinic. “It is revolutionary wireless technology and effective in cases in which other devices have failed.”
